Current Event 2
Webcam Spy Continue
This is a great current event to share with the class because everyone heard of the boy that committed suicide due to his roommate spying on him. To this day the trial continues to change the price. I feel that the price should be changed because the punishment wasn't severe enough to the point that someone took their own life due to humiliation.

Mobile Devices overpowering Humans
Mobile Devices Outnumber Humans
This article is about how mobile devices are outnumbering the amount of humans. I think that this is important for people to know because when it comes to school, assignments should be placed online since most people have cell phones or some form of internet access. Using cell phones or some form of internet access will make us become a greener.

Week 4 Reaction
ED 307 on Prezi
The tools that I thought met both Blooms and SAMR was the Prezi. Prezi allows you to explore a power point in a new and improved way. There are many new aspects to a power point to keep others engaged. I really do recommend the Prezi for group projects because instead of one person being able to log into the power point, all can log into the Prezi and put their input onto the project so all can get credit. I feel that the Prezi would be viewed as high in Bloom's taxonomy and for SAMR students can use the Prezi to engage information in a fun new way, making them remember more and would hopefully prefer Prezi over a power point for their next project.

Week 3 Reflection
1. Thinking back as a child, I can not really recall having any technology experience. The only thing that i can remember is having computer lab once a week and it was just a typing program. We continued this program for multiple years, just the exercises got harder. I knew that if i could type fast i would get a lollipop at the end of the week, so worth a sugary snack on a stick, well it worked. As time when on and I got into middle school there was a computer lab and a laptop cart that occasionally came into the room when we were to do a project, like research. When High school came around we had two computer labs, ten laptop carts, and our library was filled with new computers, but besides computers that's all the technology I have had.
When I came to Husson, I was expecting to have Mac computers, computer labs and smart boards. I also, owned my own laptop. That summer before coming to college my dad took me to Best Buy and we looked at multiple laptops. Of course I wanted a Mac book, but in all reality we just couldn't afford it, so we stuck with an HP. My laptop is still small and portable and mine! I could save things to my own laptop and not worry about other students logging onto it.
I love in our technology class that we actually take the time to talk about different technology uses in the classroom now and when we were students. I feel the younger the teacher is the more technology that is used, but the older the teacher is the more old fashion that they are and want to stick to traditional roots.
2. Three people that I followed on Twitter where: Snooki from the Jersey Shore, Education Week and also, Cheerleading Life. Snooki, https://twitter.com/#!/snooki, I followed because I am from New Jersey and live two minutes from where the Jersey Shore is filmed. Snooki isn't really a valuable addition to my news feed because all she talks abut is her new sunglasses that she is selling but I will continue following her. Education Week, https://twitter.com/#!/educationweek, I followed them because I believe that it is important to know what is going in education since that is the field I am going into. Education Week is a valuable addition to my news feed because it gives me knowledge of the education field and I will continue to follow them. The third person that I followed was Cheerleading Life, https://twitter.com/#!/CheerCrazed, I followed this person because cheerleading is my entire life. This is a valuable addition to my news feed because it keeps me updated on what I have been doing my entire life and I will continue to follow them.

Reflection 2
Being a young girl all i wanted to do was learn to braid my Barbie's hair, since that is all I played with. I got so tired of their long flowing hair and tired of just cutting it. I use to watch my cousin braid her hair in seconds like it was nothing, I was jealous!
After constantly trying to braid my Barbies hair and it always being in a knot, eventually I would cut it again. Right away I went to my older cousin Michele and she showed me how to separate hair into three sections. Trying to separate the hair into three even sections was the easy part. Then all of a sudden she was speeding so fast over and under, over and under was all she kept saying, eventually mine looked like a twisted frizzy mess.
I was so upset that I just couldn't get the hang of it, this was all I wanted to learn. So my aunt told me to come back to their house again tomorrow and Michele would be able to help me. So I listened, I showed up the next day with all new Barbie's with long hair. My aunt had talked to my cousin that she needed to have patience with me and to make the lesson fun.
We sat side by side with my Barbie's in front of us, we were focused and determined to teach me how to braid hair. First, my cousin let me watch her braid her own hair. Then, she did my hair and I loved it! Now it was time to tackle the task of all time, well it seemed that way at least. My cousin started to sing in a gentle voice "Over and under, that's the way to braid." I still couldn't get the hang of it, os she took my hands. With her hands and mine we were weaving a braid together so I could feel the flow of it.
After, all of this I kept practicing so much and eventually I had accomplished the ultimate goal, a braid!
I never really knew about the portfolio until I came to college. I was always use to the hard copy of a portfolio ever since elementary school. So far all my teachers are talking about this portfolio and finally I am starting to get a grip of it.
