Week 3 Reflection

1.           Thinking back as a child, I can not really recall having any technology experience. The only thing that i can remember is having computer lab once a week and it was just a typing program. We continued this program for multiple years, just the exercises got harder. I knew that if i could type fast i would get a lollipop at the end of the week, so worth a sugary snack on a stick, well it worked. As time when on and I got into middle school there was a computer lab and a laptop cart that occasionally  came into the room when we were to do a project, like research. When High school came around we had two computer labs, ten laptop carts, and our library was filled with new computers, but besides computers that's all the technology I have had.
When I came to Husson, I was expecting to have Mac computers, computer labs and smart boards. I also, owned my own laptop. That summer before coming to college my dad took me to Best Buy and we looked at multiple laptops. Of course I wanted a Mac book, but in all reality we just couldn't afford it, so we stuck with an HP. My laptop is still small and portable and mine! I could save things to my own laptop and not worry about other students logging onto it.
I love in our technology class that we actually take the time to talk about different technology uses in the classroom now and when we were students. I feel the younger the teacher is the more technology that is used, but the older the teacher is the more old fashion that they are and want to stick to traditional roots.

2. Three people that I followed on Twitter where: Snooki from the Jersey Shore, Education Week and also, Cheerleading Life. Snooki, https://twitter.com/#!/snooki, I followed because I am from New Jersey and live two minutes from where the Jersey Shore is filmed. Snooki isn't really a valuable addition to my news feed because all she talks abut is her new sunglasses that she is selling but I will continue following her. Education Week, https://twitter.com/#!/educationweek, I followed them because I believe that it is important to know what is going in education since that is the field I am going into. Education Week is a valuable addition to my news feed because  it gives me knowledge of the education field and I will continue to follow them. The third person that I followed was Cheerleading Life, https://twitter.com/#!/CheerCrazed, I followed this person because cheerleading is my entire life. This is a valuable addition to my news feed because it keeps me updated on what I have been doing my entire life and I will continue to follow them.

  1. How were these assignments linked to Bloom's? I am also confused by your description of Complex Activity.

Do you have a specific instance that you can share? I want this to be a reflection, not a summary of the chapter.
