Digital Profiling

 When I Google myself the first thing that comes up in my Husson Cheerleading picture, my Prezi and my Google Plus account. I find that pictures pop up about me even if I did not approve of them.

When I search myself in Facebook a photo comes up but, my profile is blocked which I think is good because not random people can see me and view things that I do not approve of.  I did not find anything to surprising because my Facebook is blocked.

Social Media: When I  become a teacher on my Facebook I am not going to accept any students, colleagues, or parents. On Twitter I would have my tweets protected so when someone tries to follow me I need to approve it first.

Professional Development. An organization that I would join when i become a teacher would be NCTE http://www.ncte.org/ This organization is only $50 with good benefits. The benefits to this organization is job listing for US, seminars, books, careers, lesson plans, rubrics and grants. There is also many seminars to attend to throughout the year. This is a good organization because you can get a good career just from spending $50 and you get many benefits. Another organization that I would join would be The Council Cronicle http://www.aect.org/newsite/ it is $125 for the year, a little pricey, but tolerable. Some of the benefits that you get from this organization is discounts on publications, a one year subscription to Teach Trends for Leaders in Education and Training and other member only benefits. This is an awesome organization to join because there is so much that you get and can use in the teaching career along with multiple benefits.

BYOD Choosing Resources

1.) I think that BYOD would be great for schools, but sometime not all students have access to the technology. I feel that if schools want to use the BYOD system then they should have extra of the technology for students that do not have access to the technology being used.
2.) I think Pixton was a great tool to use in the classroom. This would be a great activity to use as a project or just a fun in class activity to do to see if students. I would have the students use Pixton in the class.
3.)  I always knew that teachers didn't make that big of a salary, but to actually be able to see how much a teacher in Maine truly makes from starting out to over so many years, or with a bachelors degree or masters. I would absolutely take this resource into consideration when choosing jobs.
4.) When I think about budget cuts think that schools should look at more technology and to also, look at updating classrooms and school. These are many aspects that schools need to look at when they trim budgets cuts.
